James 4 4 I am true to my duties and obligations; loyal. If I conform with, am in agreement with, or am in harmony with the mass of people unfriendly or hostile to Jahuwah I will be in a state of deep-seated ill-will with Jahuwah. If I associate familiarly with those unfriendly or hostile to Jahuwah, Jahuwah will be at war with me. 5 The Scripture yields the desired outcome when it says that, The Spirit that dwells in us longs after us with painful desire. 6 Jahuwah commits revelation knowledge amounting to kindness and favor to me which I do not deserve that stimulates me to more and more Torah based good works. Jahuwah ranges in battle against those who go beyond what is right or proper in their feeling of superiority toward others, but grants merciful kindness and exerts his power to produce an outcome or achieve a result upon me, by means difficult to perceive by the mind or senses, since I meet His requirements in my service to Him. 7 With a voluntary attitude I work together with Jahuwah toward a common end or purpose. I oppose and set myself against the false accuser that entices me to sin, and he flees from me as abhorrent. 8 I turn my thoughts to Jahuwah and establish an intimate friendship with Him, and he turns His thoughts unto me and establishes an intimate friendship with me. I rid my activities of involvement with other governments and alien habits. I free myself from elements in my thoughts and emotions that cause Jahuwah to withhold his approval; I have undivided interests. 9 I toil heavily, and mourn, and weep: I let my laughter be turned to mourning, and my joy to heaviness. 10 I assign a lower rank to myself while appearing in the presence of the One who controls me, and He raises me to the state of being worthy of esteem or respect and special recognition for unusual achievement and makes me a prince among the people. |
