Proverbs
21:20 in the Amplified says, ·There are
precious treasures and oil in the dwelling of
the wise, but a self-confident and foolish man
swallows it up and wastes it.·
I
looked up each and every word in this verse in
both the Hebrew and at dictionary.com and incorporated
the meaning I found there and came up with my
own version:
There
is a store of gold, silver, and other greatly
to be desired precious things and fruitfulness
of the earth (oil) in the pasture where Jahuwah's
flocks lie down and rest due to their skillfulness
in His affairs, but those deficient in understanding,
subject to being tricked; pretenders engaged in
idle activity; marked by an assumption of their
superiority toward others; bound strong men, give
those precious things up for destruction.
Remember
in Matthew 12:29 Jahshuwah says, "Or how
can a person go into a strong man's house and
carry off his goods (the entire equipment of his
house) without first binding the strong man? Then
indeed he may plunder his house."
I
just had to let somebody know what I found; you
were the ones. J Bear
